Before October 7, 2023, the Gaza Strip was a lively region that had a population of over 2 million people, however, today Israel and its constant airstrikes and invasion have reduced it to broken rubble and destruction.

Since November, satellite imagery and videos posted by media and people of Gaza have shown a horrifying state of how great the destruction has been.

As per a NYT report, Gaza has been under “one of the most intense bombing campaigns of the 21st century” by the Israeli forces where the military has been invading and bombing without care of who is dying.

According to a U.N report, in early November it was estimated that around 6,000 buildings had been damaged with around one-third of them destroyed.

A report by Al Jazeera claims that over 17,000 people including 7,000 children have been killed by Israeli forces with more than 46,000 people injured in Gaza.

The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has also reportedly claimed that around 64 journalists have so far been killed in the war with 57 of them being Palestinian, four Israeli and three Lebanese. CPJ President Jodie Ginsberg speaking with the New Yorker said that this war “has been the deadliest conflict for journalists that CPJ has ever recorded, in terms of documenting attacks on the press.”

Although a truce between Israel and Hamas was organised by Qatar and other parties for a week, to release captives from both sides, however, it was broken on December 1st and war has resumed since.

After more than 70 days of constant firing, we take a look at the Gaza City in Palestine and the before and after-effects of the war.

These are just 10 of the hundreds of buildings, centers, hospitals, homes and more that have been reduced to rubble across Gaza and other areas of Palestine. The people of Gaza are struggling to get through each single day with the Israeli authorities also limiting the aid from reaching these people.

With no food, water and medicine, the number of bodies is also just increasing by the day while global governments continue to provide aid to Israel for constant destruction and death.
