World’s second most followed leader on Twitter has successfully completed his century as the Prime Minister of India. Impressing the world with his style statements and his oratory skills, it is the time to prove his worth. He was here to bring ‘acche din’ for everybody and it seems they have started.
His early initiatives include the newly launched Jan Dhan Yojana, Ganga cleansing plan, effective tax structure, new project in J&K etc. All these have the potential to change our country’s system altogether. An Indian PM having such a strong international footing is something not digestible. He is very firm about relations with Pakistan. Taking a stand in UN is considered quite big for a country like India. Inviting SAARC nations to the swearing-in ceremony is a specimen of how he wants all the countries to go along with him. The recent talks about ties with Japan and Australia possess the capability of leaving China’s growth far behind. The stock indices are enough to tell his success story. Stock market was all high when he came into power and even higher at the completion of 100 days.
The country has never witnessed a tech savvy Prime Minister. Where parents ask their children “,WhatApp se dur rha karo”, our Prime Minister encourages his ministers to form groups on WhatsApp. He is easily accessible. He clicks selfies. We can tweet; give him feedback (through the new site of My Gov) and see all his activities clearly on our Facebook profiles. An efficient team of ministers and a super responsible team of learned civil servants make his idea of work far more successful.
One of those few incidents which can be a blot on his image includes Gujarat riots. His apparent involvement with riots is also confused with his alignment towards hindutva. RSS, an ally of BJP passed a statement that Hindustan is a country of Hindus only. Critics have the view that people now have the dare to declare India as ‘a hindu nation’ just because the Prime Minister’s actions somewhere justify that. He has tried again and again to tell the country that he does not favor a single religion but it still prevails in people’s mind.
His journey from a-three-time CM to the PM of the country is definitely near to perfect. A prime Minister’s performance cannot be analysed in just 100 days but because it’s ‘Mr.Modi’, people expect a lot. He is not only the hope of all those residents of his constituency, Varanasi but the entire country. His team has worked for just 2400 hours. Let us see what forty thousand hours bring for the country!
