I think that it’s more about the script than just the actors. It is the script that tells the complete story, contains all action in the film and dialogues for each character. I am happy to see stupid Salman Khan movies flop and Badhaai Ho kind of scripts enter the 100 crore club.
Salman Khan’s definitely a Bollywood superstar with his weight worth in gold. But he is also known for bad scripts and acting. It is just because he has a crazy fan base that his movies are a hit.
Why is a good script important?
There have been wonderful movies that have had a simple story but made a huge impact on the public. Low budget movies have proved that the general perception is more important than a good amount of money.
The script describes characters visually so filmmakers can try to capture their style, look or vibe.
We have heard the actors saying that the script was what made them chose the style of movie they want to do.

“I think the script is the foundation. I ensure that once I love the story and the film is in the making, people who are investing money should not face loss. I don’t allow the producer to shoulder the responsibility alone,” said Aamir Khan.
However, many people think the ideas themselves are the most important factor. But they fail to realize that the presentation of those ideas is what matters. It means that the presentation of the screenplay is equally important.
Let’s take Race 3 for an instance, it was a huge flop because it didn’t work up the feeling of suspense and intrigue that made the previous masala movies from the franchise a guilty pleasure. It was because the presentation of ideas wasn’t given much attention.
It is true that a film takes careful planning of the budget and cost estimation can best gleam from the script. Since the script is the blueprint for the movie, it is also the best predictor of cost and how much the budget should be.
The movies with a social message have an impact on the public
I agree that we go to the movies expecting three hours of entertainment, dancing, action, and comedy.
The fact remains that the cinema has a great impact on people and the stars are the biggest influences. It is when we have a social message in the film that we come across movies which leave a greater impact on society.
Cinema does play an important role in our lives, even more than we notice. I believe that if it has a social message, it can change the perspective of a lot of people.
