1. United Breweries: His crown jewel: valued at US$ 12 billion today: claims to be world’s number 2 spirits company.
 

 

2. Kingfisher Airlines: His Mega venture which is now a Rs. 10,000 crore mess, stares at possible bankruptcy.

3. IPL Team Royal Challengers Bangalore: bought for US$111.6 million in 2008; second highest bid for an IPL team only after Mukesh Ambani’s. Estimated brand value of the team: US$ 120 million in 2012 making them one of the most valuable franchise today.
4. F1 team Force India: The first Indian F1 team was formed in 2007 when Spyker F1 team was bought out by a consortium having Vijay Mallya for US$ 90 million to be rechristened as Force India. In 2011, Subroto Roy’s Sahara India bought approx 43% of its shares at US$ 100 million, making the team’s valuation in 2011 at a good US$ 235 Million.
