Music mogul and producer Ajdaguru shares how digital platforms can leverage your music to reach the audience

With the endless opportunities the digital world and social media has created, businesses and individuals alike were bound to find unique ways to translate this tremendous tool into a means by which they grow their audience. The prevalence of social media in the modern age has taken a major cultural role. So while the digital age continues to expand, who are the people making the rise with it? Capitalizing on this shift is Anthony James Sledge better known by his stage name Ajdaguru, a young music mogul and producer who has shaped and built his own field. 

At 35, Ajdaguru has done work far beyond his age. In fact, he already holds the keys to his own empire. His latest release, Sledge Family Rules, that was shared as an instrumental digitally has already charted at number 43 on the iTunes 200 charts in South Africa. 

Success comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it, opportunities don’t happen, you create them. Ajdaguru is a music influencer who has built a following on social networks and successfully runs his very own Hip hop blog and this is what makes him unique. He is one of those young music producers who had been focusing on building foundations for a successful career using digital platforms through a culture defined by aggressive brand-building and digital efficiency. 

Following his passion, Ajdaguru started producing music in his studio after completing high school. At the age of 28, and under his alias production name Mr Live, he got his first big break while working with Kanye West collaborator, GLC, and later working with Chevy Woods and King Chip. He has been featured on several digital platforms including 2DopeBoyz, Complex, HipHopDX, Hotnewhiphop, and several others. This is where he saw an opportunity and began working on building his own Hip hop music platform. In May 2014, Ajdaguru launched his blog Inyaearhiphop.com, which gained a phenomenal amount of traction rather quickly. 

The blog received recognition from Dej Loaf, Cardi B, Rick Ross, DJ Khaled, and more. Seemingly living on a fasttrack, he’s grown up knowing how to bring eye-catching value to the table while still being attentive to detail. A major breakthrough arrived in 2017, when two-time Grammy award-winning rapper GLC announced Inyaearhiphop as the new Rolling Stones of Hip hop time. AJ’s blog has interviewed several renowned artists including G Herbo, Lil Uzi Vert, Post Malone, and a slew of others in the music industry.

There are several music producers who have talent,  but really lack entrepreneurial capabilities. When you think about how famous producers make songs, Ajdaguru’s background illustrates just how passionate and talented he really is. People at the forefront of the music industry will take you more seriously and want to build meaningful relationships with you if you bring clear cut value to the table. Ajdaguru does just that.
