Stan Lee, the man we know as the creator of the Marvel Universe, passed away in the early morning of 13th November 2018.

The face of Marvel Comics, the writer, editor, producer and more had brought on a wave of new superheroes who would ultimately become the most widely known characters around the globe.

As per sources, Lee had been admitted into the Cedar’s Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Monday morning and he later died there at the age of 95.

The cause of his death is not known till yet as per Lee’s daughter’s attorney Kirk Schneck.

Lee started his career when DC Comics was all the rage, and over years, set up his more human and grey characters in front of giants like Batman, Superman and more.

He is credited with creating iconic characters like Thor, X-Men, Spiderman, Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America and more, which the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) later immortalised on the silver screen.

Lee was also a constant in practically all of the Marvel movies with him making a short guest appearance for a few seconds.

But it seems that even though the man has just died, some Indians and other netizens cannot help but point out how bad of a person he was.

In around January this year, Daily Mail came out with several sexual harassment allegations again Stan Lee, one of them being that he apparently groped and harassed several young nurses who were taking care of him at his house.

As per the report, Lee was said to have walked around naked in his house, demanded oral sex and more while in the presence of the nurses.

The identity of the nurses and even the nursing company was kept hidden and till the time the report came out no police or official complaints had been filed.

Lee via his attorney Tom Lallas, immediately denied the charges calling them and stated that,

‘Mr. Lee categorically denies these false and despicable allegations and he fully intends to fight to protect his stellar good name and impeccable character.

‘We are not aware of anyone filing a civil action, or reporting these issues to the police, which for any genuine claim would be the more appropriate way for it to be handled.

‘Instead, Mr. Lee has received demands to pay money and threats that if he does not do so, the accuser will go to the media.

‘Mr Lee will not be extorted or blackmailed, and will pay no money to anyone because he has done absolutely nothing wrong.’

Another accusation came up when a Chicago based masseuse Maria Carballo accused and filed a lawsuit again Stan Lee for harassment and sexual assault when he allegedly masturbated during a session. He also as per reports, put his genitals on her foot while she was giving him a Shiatsu message that can be done with one’s feet.

I wouldn’t say Stan Lee was devoid of any wrongdoings, and maybe he really did do all the things he is being accused of. I am not trying to defend the things Lee did, since there does seem to be some accusations that seem honest.

These threads, can shed light on the less than positive nature of him:

But at the same time, a certain bit of respect for the departed should be maintained. The man has just passed away, not even a full 24 hours ago, a little bit of control is not much to ask.

Not to say that you cannot highlight a dead person’s wrongdoings, but at least a few days can be given to those who are mourning and then bring out the accusations in a calm manner.

There were some people who defended the creator of some of the most famous superhero characters:

What do you think, is this bashing valid? Or should the people show some constraint and tackle this issue at least after a respectable amount of time has passed? Because no doubt, these issues are important, but even when someone has just died?
