Padmini was talked about ages ago, Padmavati is being talked about right now. For different reasons though.

While I wouldn’t like to comment on what’s going on in the country with the movie, it was the act of bravery and honour that made Rani Padmini stand out. The act being Johar/Jauhar or the mass immolation of about 12,000 women and children in the fort of Chittorgarh.
