Low on cash and an increased appetite?

This is your place. If you enjoy your biryani more than the ambience and the crockery, there’s a quaint little place in Central Delhi – Anand restaurant tucked away behind the petrol pump on KG Marg in CP.

What is so extraordinary about this place?

The desi delicacies! The age-old recipes like chicken tandoori, butter chicken, chicken biryani are toppers on Anand’s menu, chicken biryani bagging the first position.

Every biryani is served with gravy along with mint chutney and onions and it becomes the best biryani option in town.

The burst of taste is going to sway any non-veg lover enough to forget the most premium fine dining restaurants. This restaurant is the epitome of delectable food at reasonable prices if you “don’t judge the book by its cover”.

How to reach?

Address; 15/96, Scindia House, Connaught Place {behind the petrol pump}
Nearest Metro Station: Rajiv Chowk (exit gate – 5 or 6)
It is at a walkable distance from Rajiv Chowk metro station. It’s hard to find in the first go since it is located in the interiors, but it’s worth the hard work.

Also, its quite famous so feel free to ask a few guard uncles to guide you the way.

The Ambience
This place does not offer you a fancy décor.  An arrangement of tables and chairs comforted by fans all around plus a counter to collect the money and issue bills sums the interiors of this place.

Cleanliness can be an issue as the place welcomes you in all its shabbiness. But if it’s the taste and quality of food that matters to you, sitting area would bother you in the least.

Where does it steal the show?

Like I mentioned earlier, if you are low on cash and want to indulge in some mouth-watering non-veg dishes, worry the least because this place serves you these dishes in great quantity in a very reasonable price.
We ordered a boneless chicken biryani , dahi and a coke for Rs.263. (in love!)

What not to order?

Though this place serves a variety of vegetarian dishes too, they are not up to scratch. The place’s claim to fame is their spicy biryani and that is what you should go there for!

To sum up, it’s a decent place to have wonderful treat in chicken.
