Yes! You heard it right. ‘Neki Ki Dukaan’, run by an NGO in Ludhiana sells everything ranging from clothes to shoes for just Rs.10.
Even though the things are second-hand i.e. used before, but it is still a big step.
Located in a main industrial area of Ludhiana, it a centre of attraction for the labor employed there. It isn’t anything less than a boon for them as they can make their ends meet. Ranging from clothes to shoes, from utensils to tools and from toys to books, everything is available here. All of it, for just Rs. 10!
Aadhar card is a requirement. This shop operates for only an hour a day i.e. 6 pm to 7 pm, and demands the aadhar card of the buyer to enjoy shopping.
You too can donate things here!
If you want to be a part of this initiative, then you can also donate goods. Join your hands with this NGO named, ‘Ek Noor Sewa Kendra’, that also provides medical assistance to the needy people. So step-up and contribute for a noble cause.
Such initiatives play a vital role in our economy. The foremost being the availability of necessities to everyone!
NGOs also help poor people by skill learning programs, which help the needy to feed themselves.
The truth of this statement is reflected by the fact that the shop in possession with Ek noor sewa Kendra is also donated by someone to the NGO, so they do not pay any rent!
Everyone must make their best efforts to uplift our society. Then only India will be on true stage of development. A 7.6% GDP growth is good, but only if all the sections of the country are benefitted! We need to distribute growth equally so that everyone is privileged. So let us come forward and make the change ourselves!
Starting from neki ki dukaan, the people who wish to donate from Ludhiana, this is the number where you’ll have to call for a home pick-up : – 76967 31000
For people living anywhere else than Ludhiana, you need to call on the same number and have coordinate about the pickup point (there are two pickup points in Delhi).
Let’s contribute to the noble cause and fulfill our social responsibilities of upliftment of our fellow citizens.
