During this summer, the Earth’s surface has experienced intense heat, with July earning the unfortunate distinction of being the hottest month since temperature records were initiated in the 1800s. Simultaneously, certain regions around the world have been pummeled by exceedingly heavy rainfall, resulting in the loss of numerous lives.
Just one month ago, António Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, declared that the era of global warming had concluded and had ushered in the “era of global boiling.” This statement came after scientists verified that July was on course to become the warmest month ever documented.
The gradual increase in the average worldwide temperatures, fueled by pollution that captures solar radiation and creates a greenhouse effect around the planet, has exacerbated the severity of extreme weather events.
Asia, Europe, and the United States have all endured scorching temperatures as the global thermometer climbed to alarming levels.

For a considerable time, scientists have been cautioning that the emission of carbon dioxide from the combustion of fossil fuels, which is driving climate change, will lead to more frequent, intense, and lethal heat waves. They stress the importance for governments to take drastic measures in curbing emissions to avert a climate catastrophe.
Here, we examine specific alarming instances of climate-related disasters that have compelled populations to relocate, while also resulting in the unfortunate deaths of many individuals due to the extremities of weather patterns.
All we can do now is take steps at our level to reduce global warming and CO2 emissions so that in the coming years the situation becomes better.
