If you are a newbie millennial and seem to be clueless when your colleagues and seniors are discussing the subject of wine, then you’re not alone.

As young adults, we usually seem to have a wide knowledge about alcohol and its types, but when it comes to wine, we all get stuck.

This article is sort of a guide to answer the many questions you might have about the subject so that the next time you see someone having a discussion on wine, you don’t find yourself in a tight situation.

Wine is nothing but a type of alcoholic beverage made from fermented grapes. There are many varieties of wine found all over the world, but the most common ones are:

1. Sparkling Wine

2. White Wine

3. Red Wine

4. Rose Wine

I’ve tried to explain these different wine styles in the pictures below, hoping they’ll be useful to you.

SPARKLING WINE

WHITE WINE

It is made by the alcoholic fermentation of the non-colored pulp of grapes and is usually straw-yellow, yellow-green or golden-yellow in color. The most famous white wines include Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, and Riesling among others.
