BarterUnit LLC, a rapidly growing American fintech startup, has developed and launched an alternative digital community currency – called the Barter Unit. The new income distribution system also includes an optional Universal Basic Income (UBI) program. It is the first full-spectrum privatized community currency system with an embedded basic income program, aiming to provide economic equality and opportunity by indiscriminately issuing every citizen worldwide a monthly grant in the form of an alternative digital currency.
“Our UBI program will create opportunity for financial prosperity. It will create opportunity for innovators to emerge and ultimately give stronger negotiating power back to individuals, just to say the least,” says Perez.
