You know, every once in a while, we all start to feel a certain kind of way. It is difficult to explain it at first but suddenly, life appears meaningless, you feel like there’s no purpose to it. Simple things like getting out of the bed or brushing your teeth seem like unattainable tasks. 

You aren’t sure what is wrong but there is something which is not right either and before we know what is going on with us, we find ourselves stuck in a rut. 

Step 1: Identity

It feels like it has come out of nowhere. Just last week you were doing great and now suddenly, you cannot muster the strength to face the world.

You Are Not Alone

You are not alone in this, it takes all of us some time to realize that this situation might be a rut but be rest assured, everyone, at some point in their life, has experienced it.

Feeling trapped, discontent, unmotivated, or unworthy over some time is a sign of being stuck in a rut. The earlier you can identify it, the earlier you can try to get out of it.

Step 2: Accept the situation

Accept the situation. It won’t be easy, but it is the only way you could pull yourself out of the rut. While denial helps you to avoid accepting the situation, in the long run, it will come in your way of living your life to your full potential. Once you accept the situation, even if you cannot fix it immediately, you start your journey towards the direction of getting out of the rut.
