In a monumental move, Burger King UK, earlier this week, decided to promote local eateries on their Instagram page. The fast-food chain’s generous move urges their Instagram followers to visit other eateries as well. The statement said:

Reeling from the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many restaurants in the vicinity have struggled to keep themselves afloat.

The restaurants have to upload their posts on Instagram with the hashtag #WhopperAndFriends which would then be reposted on Burger King UK’s Instagram handle.

The move has been thoroughly applauded by netizens.

This is not the first time that Burger King’s advertising skills have been appreciated. Earlier in November 2020, Burger King urged its customers to visit other fast-food chains in order to prevent the recession of employees working there.

Considered to be a generous move, it was also appreciated due to its witty nature.

Amidst the pandemic, there was quite a drop in the number of people who preferred to eat in eateries. This led to a decline in the sales of the hospitality sector as well.

Initiatives like this are heart-warming and an appreciative form of marketing.
