So we’re back with another chapter of Friendly Fridays with Pond’s Femina Miss India Indore 2013, Zoya Afroz who went on to clinch the Pond’s Femina Miss India International 2013 trophy.
She’s been a child actor, appearing in a Rasna commercial and Hum Saath Saath Hain. (Yes! She played Neelam’s daughter).
So without much ado, let’s bring you the chat that ensued when we caught up with her-
Team ED: From Hum Saath Saath Hain to The Expose, describe your journey in 3 words.
Zoya: Thought. Desired. Conquered. (And still conquering!)
Team ED: Your choice of a glamorous dressup, LBD or saree?
Zoya: Definitely a saree!
Team ED: A yesteryear movie you wish you could be a part of?
Zoya: I always desired to be a 60’s heroine so I’d love to play Madhubala’s role, Anarkali in Mughal-e-azam.
Team ED: What’s your ideal location for a photoshoot?
Zoya: Paris. Isn’t it perfect?
Team ED: Are you a morning person or a night person?
Zoya: I am a night owl for sure.
Team ED: One advice you wish you had received when you stepped into the industry?
Zoya: I think everybody has a unique journey and everybody learns through their experiences and that’s the way it should be. So no advice is the best advice.
Team ED: One rumour about the fashion industry you want to dismiss?
Zoya: That fashion is an inborn talent. Well I believe one can learn to have a good fashion sense (provided they WANT to learn, hehe)
Team ED: Are you a cat person or a dog person?
Zoya: I am a cat person. I find them hilarious. I had a cat named Violet, she used to do funny stuff and reminded me of “Tom” from Tom and Jerry.
Team ED: Your all time favourite book?
Zoya: The Winner Stands Alone by Paulo Coelho. It’s a must read!
Team ED: If we were to check your browser history, what are the last 3 links we would find?
Zoya: Lots of DIYs and How To’s on YouTube because I am a really curious person and want to know it all. You would also find lot of songs and movies that I watch online.
Also, messages that I receive on Twitter and Facebook from my fans…I love reading them and try responding to them as many as I can!
Team ED: And finally, any parting words to ED readers?
Zoya: I would like to say a special hi to all my dear ED readers, I love you all. Keep rocking and doing what you love the most. Keep smiling :-)
With that, it’s a wrap of this fashionable edition of Friendly Fridays. We will be back again next week, with some more fun and friendly chats. Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
See you again next week, till then, adios!
