The season of fests happens to be the most exciting time of the year for the life of any student of Delhi University.
Months of February and March, with their receding winters, act as the harbinger of excitement among DU peeps.
A plethora of fests is organised by the colleges of Delhi University.
In every such hustle, Crossroads – the annual cultural fest of SRCC is a 4-day extravaganza that promises unlimited fun and excitement with power-packed performances by renowned artists, enthralling bands, and mind-blowing competitions and events.
Luckily, I got a chance in my first year to enjoy its 42nd edition, i.e., Crossroads 2017.
So let’s get on with it and LivED It the experience with me:
Day 1: DJ Chetas and Lost Stories taking SRCC by storm:
With a palpable energy and anticipation running high, the first day kick-started with Thirakh, the Western Dance Competition, which witnessed the energising performances by a motley of colleges.
As the sun set, with a pumped-up performance and groovy EDM beats, Lost Stories made everyone dance to his tunes.
DJ Chetas closes the Day 1 mixing up Bollywood tracks like Kaala Chasma, Buleya etc. with its crazy beats.
Day 2: Armaan Malik signed off the 2nd day at Crossroads at the highest note possible:
The sine wave of the excitement at the second day at Crossroads crashed to new crests with the enthralling performance on the night by Armaan Malik.
With a playlist including songs like Kabira, Wajah Tum Ho and Besabriyaan, Armaan Malik signed off the second day at Crossroads’17 at SRCC at the highest note possible.
Day 3: Crossroads mesmerised its audience with a melange of competitions:
Crossroads, SRCC kicked-off Day 3 with a slew of competitions like ‘Stomp the Yard’, a hip-hop mania, food eating competitions, and a medley of beauty & talent churned out through fashion, and ramp walks.
Day 4: Final Showdown by KK’s unforgettable concert:
On the last day, rock bands like Hindu Collective, Black Coffee, etc. from various colleges gave their exquisite performances.
In the wait of KK, an air of restlessness spread everywhere, people waited to enjoy the last but not the least performance of the whole extravaganza.
And finally, KK got the crowd grooving to glorious hits from the 1990s and 2000s.
The fest culminated with a majestic performance by one of the kings of Bollywood, KK.
