Comedian Pranit More is back at it again, with another problematic clip of an audience member surfacing this time, joking about private parts of male corpses.
It seems that More just cannot catch a break, or at least do crowd-work in a way that leads to more funny moments than problematic ones. At this point, More’s crowdwork shows have become less of a comedy stage and more of a slow-moving car crash that we just cannot look away from.
While the internet has gotten to know about the Rs. 370 biryani story very well, over the past few days, another clip surfaced from an older show of the comedian, where a woman essentially made insensitive remarks about corpses, especially male ones.
What Did The Woman Say?
Pranit More, the Bigg Boss 19 alumnus and stand-up comedian, is under fire again after a clip of a crowd member at another one of his shows has gone viral for making crass remarks about dead bodies.
The woman in question is Dr Sejal Pawar, a medical professional associated with Mumbai’s KEM Hospital, who was part of the audience at one of Pranit More’s live stand-up crowdwork shows. In the clip that has since gone viral, Pawar was asked about what the first thing she cut off the medical cadavers used to teach medical students.
While she explained what they did, the exchange took a disturbing turn when More asked whether doctors stay serious while working with dead bodies during autopsies and dissections, or whether they crack jokes to cope.
To this, Sejal confirmed that they do make jokes on the cadavers, laughing when More said statements like “this person doesn’t have anything in their head”, to which she added, “whatever, size, and all.”
It must be noted, though, that More had more of a shocked reaction to the female doctor’s story than the biryani guy’s. With Pawar, he actually said, “Kya?! Saala tum log ye sab baat kartein ho? Bechare chacha ne noble cause ke liye apni body donate ki hai, aur bache bol rahe hai ‘chacha ka chota hai’ (What?! Is this what you all talk about? Poor uncle donated his body for a noble cause and you kids are saying ‘uncle’s size is small?!)”

It still wasn’t much. More was still laughing and adding to the joke; however, this was much more than what he said in reaction to the guy’s story of essentially forcing a girl to get intimate with him.
As it seems to now be common among the audience and More though, the laughter was spread across the room, with no one raising any objection to such problematic remarks or stories being told in the place.
More also joked, in response, that future body donors would now think twice before donating, aware that they might become the subject of similar mockery.
The backlash was immediate and intense, with many people calling for the doctor’s license to be revoked and for her to face the same harsh punishment as the other audience member.
User @hamlakroo, sharing the video on X/Twitter, wrote, “Sejal pawar doctor by profession talking about how she and her friends make fun of dead bodies about their dick size and made several nasty comments about male reproductive organs.”
Another wrote, “This female doctor said that she and her friends joke about the dick sizes of male dead bodies. Imagine the outrage if a male doctor made the same joke about a dead woman’s vagina. He would be fired and called a rapist. But girls can do this and face no punishment. Why?”
One social media user commented, “As a medical student, mocking a cadaver is one of the worst things you can do.”
Another said, “There are certain things in life that should never be mocked, and a cadaver is one of them. Making fun of a cadaver at any level is completely unacceptable. A family donates the body of their loved one so that future doctors can learn and serve society better. That is an extraordinary act of trust and generosity. If such noble people stop donating their bodies because of this kind of behavior, medical education itself will suffer. This is not a joke, not “content,” and not something that can be brushed aside.”
As the criticism mounted, Pawar initially made her social media accounts private. She subsequently deleted all prior content from her Instagram profile before making it public again. On her Instagram page, she issued a formal public apology through both a video statement and an Instagram post.
In her written apology, she wrote, “I genuinely want to address a clip from a recent video that has been circulating. Having watched it back, I completely understand why people were upset by what I said. The topic is a sensitive one, and my comments came across in a way they shouldn’t have. While there was never any intention to disrespect anyone, I recognize that impact matters more than intent. I’m not here to justify what was said or explain it away. I take responsibility for it. Looking back, I can see how my words could be interpreted differently from what I meant.”
