The popular Marathi film ‘Patri Boyz’ was directed by Ajit Maruti Sable. It is an emotional-romantic musical-social-thriller family drama. ‘Patri Boyz’ story revolves around the lives of seven people of different backgrounds living in the Bandra slum, who become friends and then start a journey to overcome the obstacles and hardships in their lives—however, fate plays a crucial role, resulting in consequences. Vikas Khaire, Jayesh Chavan, Mithun Chavan, and Sudhir Ghanekar were seen as the main cast. On the other hand, Fandi was produced by Sayali Patankar, and again Vikas Khaire, Jayesh Chavan, Mithun Chavan, and Sudhir Ghanekar were in the lead.

Ganesh Jadhav got the award for Best Actor for his work in the Marathi film. Jadhav’s four directorial efforts won Maharashtra State Film Awards in the category of Best Feature Film in Marathi. At the Kolhapur International Film Festival, he also won the Audience Award for Best Film. In 2018, he was nominated for the Marathi International Cinema and Theatre Awards (MICTA) for Best Screenplay.
Ajit Sable’s Marathi film ‘Fandi,’ for which he won the Maharashtra State Film Award for Best Director, is one of his best works. In addition, his film ‘Fandi’ received Best Marathi Film at the Pune International Film Festival. Not only that, but he was also named Best Director at the Prabhat Film Awards for the same film.
