After the Indian government banned all Chinese social media platforms like TikTok and Likee, the celebrities of neighbouring countries like Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh started to fill that empty place. They were not only interested in those Chinese applications but also moved to the Indian social media platforms. Currently, a lot of Internet celebrities from different countries are rocking the Social Media industry among which Nepalese internet celebrity, Sandesh Lamsal (सन्देश लम्साल) is on the top. Sandesh Lamsal is a Nepalese social media influencer, actor, model, social worker, sportsman, doctor and international volunteer born on 17th August 1994 in a village of Dang valley of Nepal. At the age of 26, he has achieved that level of success which every youth dreams nowadays. From his small childhood, he was very hardworking and determined about his life. He says, “I had 3 dreams in my life, first was to get the black belt in martial arts, second is to be a doctor and third is to run a social organization and help the helpless people.” On the age of 11, he joined Taekwondo and started his journey towards his first dream. In 2014 he got the I Dan black belt whereas in 2018 he succeeded to get the II Dan Black belt on World Taekwondo from Kukkiwon, South Korea.
After finishing his high school from Nepal, in 2015 Sandesh got a scholarship in MBBS from the Government of Russia and went to St. Petersburg, Russia. Although his main focus in Russia was on studies, he couldn’t stop himself from doing something for his country and Russia. Just after he was appointed as The Representative of Nepal in St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region, he formed a group of students and started to organize programs in St. Petersburg. Sandesh says, “On these programs, we promote Nepalese culture, tradition, language and tourism.” After the opening of the Office of Honorary Consul of Nepal in St. Petersburg in 2016, the promotion of Nepali culture and tourism took place on the global level. Sandesh was also the part of “Nepal-Fest”- a charity program organized in St. Petersburg in 2016 to collect funds for the victims of the 2015 Nepal Earthquake. Currently, he is a UN online volunteer and the National Volunteer of Russia. He has been part of many national and international programs held in St. Petersburg. Sandesh is the one and only Nepalese citizen who got a chance to serve as a “Medical Volunteer” in FIFA Confederation Cup 2017 and World Cup 2018 for which he got awarded a gold medal and appreciation letter from the organizer team of FIFA and the Government of Russia. He frequently participates as an international volunteer on the camping programs for the children with a motive of cultural and language exchange in St. Petersburg, Russia.

He further adds, “I now have a dream to open an orphanage and old care home for the homeless and serve them.”
