All creative heads seem to have given up once Zomato came on board. With the mouth-watering dishes that appease our palates alike, Zomato has now adopted a new marketing strategy such that none can stay unamused after giving the advertisements a read.
Zomato’s marketing strategy has improved tenfold, thereby increasing not only the sales but also the traffic, especially considering that the addition of technology to the blooming food industry has been a success.
Restaurants, both large and small scale alike, have gotten aid from Zomato and have been able to increase their potential of developing as well as providing.
Customers too, can conveniently search, compare prices, order without any hustle (bonus for introverts- no interaction) and enjoy their favourite dishes.
From making online slot reservations that save the extra time one spends going and ordering in person, to taking as much time as required to go through a menu, from keeping an eye on the delivery person and foiling the possibility of them running away with the order, to sending real-time location that leaves no need for providing directions to the delivery person on call, Zomato has it all.
Be it the bakery shop from around the corner, or the delectable dish from the other end of the city, with Zomato it’s possible to fill up our hearts and our stomachs.
Advertisements And Creativity
This brings us to the inventive, eye-catching advertisements that Zomato’s marketing team has contrived.
Let’s look at a few such advertisements that caught our attention and left us in giggles and a newfound enthusiasm to be a part of this scheme (by ordering right then and there).
One idea that has been adopted has been the inculcation of word-play to catch everyone’s attention. Especially adding in lyrics and movies’ names and twisting them as per convenience.

Another strategy has been throwing jibes at political parties or at politicians or their certain statements that have become a rave among the young audiences.
Yet another strategy of Zomato is to add in wishes for secular celebrations and giving out offers for the same day on various meals to keep the vibe going.
And of course, the harmless teasing along with the wit becomes the reason for laughing fits erupting out of us.
Overlooking the food lure and temptation of ordering, the marketing strategy has won hearts and the food industry has bloomed thanks to Zomato’s services.

The part about word play was especially interesting to me. Whenever I’m brainstorming during campaign meetings with my colleagues, throwing around those sorts of marketing tools are second nature and usually come with great results that are memorable both for our clients and for us when we consider future projects.
