According to the Print,”…many people were milling about, including children, pregnant women, and elderly men with canes. The canteen was churning out snacks, devotional music was playing on a loop from multiple speakers, and the screen was constantly flashing images of Ram Rahim. There’s a langar, comprising dal and roti, on offer too but you must wash your utensils after use.”

Sewadars, in Ashram at Sirsa, are keeping up with all the preparations. Many people are living there, but during live satsangs, the crowd increases. So, the sewadars get up at 3 am and begin their service.

Events Attended By Ram Rahim In Sirsa

As reported by The Print, there was a flashy event on 31 October to celebrate the ‘incarnation month’ of the Dera’s founder, Ram Rahim belted out power-charged bhajans for his followers with all the elan of a concert musician. The event included him cutting a five-tier cake.

On some days, Rahim meets his devotees on zoom calls, gives them digital prasad- images of sweets from Himachal Pradesh, Bengal; and blesses the newborns and newlyweds. Some videos show devotees at their locations in large groups, celebrating, dancing, singing, and reciting poetry for their demigod. Various politicians of the BJP, are visiting him virtually to seek his blessings.

Despite being convicted of heinous crimes, Ram Rahim is still considered to be a messenger of God by his devotees. Even the politicians who are contesting for the betterment of society are visiting him to win the elections.
