“Aftermath: The Purpose and Conflict” by Ajay Menon A
Palakkad (Kerala) [India], June 15: Aftermath is a story that features a utopian world. The timeline of the book is about a hundred years into the future. The protagonist, Asbin, is a pilot under the government of India. Asbin was rushed to his marriage and was about to be abducted by a group of terrorists. The astonishing fact is that those terrorists have come from a new era, which was a thousand years into the future.
As the story unfolds itself further, an anonymous woman abducts him during an assault hosted by the terrorist at Perth airport. The terrorists are from a specific group of a new era. They aim to activate the ultimate weapon known as Brahma’s lotus. Asbin, the hero of the story, is somehow the only key that can assist in activating the weapon. After the terrorist attack in Perth, the global consortium, in unity, accumulates the tactics to retaliate against the terrorists. This leads to an all-out war. The book, with its unexpected plot twists, is unputdownable.
Asbin had to find out his connection with the weapon and prevent it from losing it to the terrorists in the near future. The story weaves the Covid virus factor in it during the end when the terrorists had to fight the final battle on the city of Taif. If we do not advance towards taking custody of nature, the vivid portrayal of the future shown in the book is terrifying. The element of curiosity which separates this book from the stream of books releasing every day is Brahma’s lotus and a slight emphasis on spirituality.
The questions that become a component of thrill are the mysterious lady’s appearance and how Asbin, an ordinary man, is connected to something he never thought of. Through this book, the author makes an attempt to solve the reason behind the dreadful pandemic, Covid 19, which is taking away the lives of a large number of people.
