It’s never been a better time to chase your dreams of entrepreneurship, financial freedom and the flexibility of being your own boss, but turning your passion project into an income-building machine that supports your life can be a daunting and overwhelming task. These are the problems business coach Elle Crawford has faced, and the ones she helps her clients to overcome every day. With a deep passion for helping driven women to see their potential, kick goals and live their dreams of financial freedom, Elle shows entrepreneurial spirited women how to be their own boss and build a successful business they love. We spoke with Elle, learning about her journey towards financial freedom and how she helps other ladies achieve the same.
Born with congenital heart disease and having survived two open heart surgeries each offering only a 10% survival chance by age 12; Elle was instilled with a deep desire to hustle and forge a successful future for herself. “It’s what made me feel different in both a good and a bad way.” Elle recalls, “Being told I couldn’t do things as well as normal people with a healthy heart could, made me more determined to prove to myself that I could do anything I put my mind to.“
Elle was 27 when she made the fateful decision to leave her comfortable, yet unfulfilling corporate job, pivoting into digital marketing. With zero experience in the field she was moving toward, only a mindset of abundance and a strong desire to succeed, Elle handed in her 90 day resignation. Now she had no other option but to act. “Reality hit, now I have to start an online business!” she chuckled.
Elle overcame limiting beliefs, imposter syndrome and self-sabotaging behaviours, learning quickly taking imperfect action was her solution and understanding that self-belief and action are what set her up to succeed. “You can have the best idea in the world but unless you believe in yourself and do something about it, it will remain an idea.” noted Elle. This is the mindset she used while she honed her craft, managing marketing campaigns for high profile doctors and surgeons across the world from her bedroom. While her hands-on learning method did lead her through some hardship and missed opportunities early on, Elle persevered and saw her labours bear fruit. She had succeeded in building a 6 figure business in 45 days out of her bedroom!
Even though Elle had become her own boss, she still felt something lacking within her. When COVID-19 hit, she used the changing business landscape as a perfect opportunity to find her true passion; giving business advice to aspiring entrepreneurs who were going through the same growing pains she experienced not too long ago.
In just 6 months, Elle has established herself as an authority in the business coaching industry and has helped over 6,000 service based Fempreneurs around the world ignite their potential in ways they never imagined possible through her programs, private coaching and live Masterclasses. One of which went viral on TikTok in mid January, which saw her 275 sign ups explode into 3,700 registered attendees from around the world that tuned in to participate in Elle’s live Kickstarter Masterclass.
Elle‘s client’s results speak for themselves, with Ro Shah earning $17,000 USD within 6 weeks of signing up for Elle’s program and well on her way to owning her first six-figure business at 24. Another client, Mona Kandahola started earning $3,500 USD per month as a Social Media Manager just 3 weeks into working with Elle, enabling her to quit her nursing job four weeks later.
Elle‘s strong vision for the future has her looking forward to releasing her latest CEO Accelerator program. This February, the release of her new accelerator will be where she passes on her own methods for success, teaches trending social media strategies and provides accountability. All including her trademark support system to ensure her clients are on the right path to hitting their goals.
Whether you’re just starting out in the world of business or wanting to take your business to the next level, the journey doesn’t have to be confusing, overwhelming or lonely. Elle created The CEO. Society, a community built for female entrepreneurs to share resources, get guidance from industry leaders, offer feedback and valuable insight on the challenges they contend with. “I wanted it to be a place to provide opportunities for growth and share successes within a likeminded community” says Elle.
If there’s anything Elle recommends to aspiring entrepreneurs, “Don’t be afraid of taking imperfect action. Imperfect action is better than taking no action at all.”
