Is it only the conservative Indian who wants to use traditional methods of banking or are Indian banks lacking in attracting people into using net banking?
Of course, there are certain areas of safety and cyber security which are same for all countries. However, it also depends from bank to bank and Indian banks have been deficient in conducting net banking properly by not taking appropriate safety measures.
Few years back an Indian bank was faulted for losing a customer’s net banking credentials. It was considered a serious breach especially when banks must be extra cautious these days when threats to data security are a menace.
Ajit Hatti, the co-founder of null – open security community, in a talk at the NULLCON Delhi conference discussed and evaluated various Indian banking websites on where problems exist and how security is compromised.
Millions opt for internet banking so that they are able to put to use what technology has made easy for them so that they are able to carry out bank transactions in the comfort of being at home.
It is for the bank to make its internet presence stronger by ensuring all safety measures are well implemented.
