TEDxJMC’s motto of “Ideas worth spreading” never ceases even when the world takes a break to catch its breath. TEDxJMC, amidst the novel pandemic, made sure to keep this cycle of ideas flowing and growing by successfully conducting their very first virtual conference last year, with the same zeal and vibrance as they would’ve done had it been offline.
With the same spirit, they came back again with yet another edition of their grand conference on the 5th of March, 2022. An exciting lineup of speakers awaited as the big day approached. This year’s conference was graced by 9 phenomenal orators, 1 vivacious host, and 3 exceptional performers!
The theme for TEDxJMC 2022, “Disha: Reversing Your Compass,” was all about exploring the unexplored and discovering the possibilities it holds. From the spirit of creativity to taking risks, from discovering different perspectives to charting the uncharted course of life, this year’s theme aimed to unravel the concept of one’s direction in life.
TEDxJMC hosted a plethora of inspirational and empowering speakers like Priyal Keni, Ex-International Rifle Shooter & a ShivChatrapati Awardee; Dr. Anjali Kumar, a renowned gynecologist who aims to empower women of the new millennium through her YouTube channel; Mehar Sindhu Batra, a qualified CA & career coach who creates tools to help and impact the lives of students through her community, and Dushyant Mishra, founder of unLearn.cool who believes in helping people empower themselves in learning new things.
The conference was also be graced by the presence of social influencers and visionary activists like Komal Narang, a renowned digital creator, popularly known as ‘Myhappinesz’ who passionately creates content about beauty, fashion, and lifestyle; Rose Kawatra, a star student of Pearl Academy; Avani Singh, Chief Executive Officer of SpiceHealth, a medical organization which believes in disrupting medical care in India through inventive, adaptable and financially savvy arrangements and lastly, Aman Sharma, an 18-year-old climate justice activist and youth wildlife conservationist who has made progress towards redefining the global climate movement.
The conference was hosted by the immensely popular social media influencer Gia Gupta followed by breathtaking performances by Adhiraj Bhasin, singer/songwriter, Annaika Ahuja, a trained Bharatnatyam dancer, and Siddharth Sethi, a DJ and producer.
The conference was an immense success and achieved its aim of spreading trust, love, and light in these questionable times through these sensational and creative discussions!
