Half a century ago, on September 30 1968, the world got it’s first glimpse of Boeing’s 747 when the jetliner rolled out of the factory in Everett, Washington, US.
PanAm’s inaugural flight for paying passengers flew from New York to London in January 1970.

Ever since the Boeing 747 has eased its wheels off and on the tarmac, people haven’t been able to stop staring at it.
In times of rising fuel cost, and the company being on the verge of bankruptcy, the massive 747 enjoyed an enormous reign as the “Queen Of The Skies”.
