Your blender is a powerhouse when it comes to quickly making food items. An electric blender can blend almost any food you can think of and is considered a staple addition to kitchens. Most homemakers search for a blender to accompany the other appliances in their kitchen. A blender can handle much more than frozen drinks, juices, and smoothies. When used in the right way, it can give the users many alternative benefits. Here are some of the alternate uses of an electric blender which you never knew existed.

1. Ground coffee

Whole bean coffee ground just before brewing helps to protect the natural flavours of the coffee from being exposed to the environment and becoming stale and bland. You can use your blender to easily grind whole coffee beans to the texture of your preference. Start with blending a few beans until you can figure out exactly how much coffee your beans will yield. As you get used to it, you can easily find out the perfect amount of coffee beans to put in your blender. However, mostly, a handful of beans can yield around one to two tablespoons of ground coffee.

2. Whipped Cream

The homemade whipped cream is the best way to top a sundae, but if you don’t have a beater, try the blender instead. To prepare, pour 1/2 cup heavy cream into the blender jar and blend on medium speed for about 15 to 20 seconds until the soft peaks are formed. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and continue to blend on medium speed for another 15 to 20 seconds. Do this until the peaks are formed, and they hold their shape. Don’t miss the cherry!

3. Omelettes

Your blender is the key to restaurant-quality and super-fluffy omelettes. To prepare, all you need to do is add 2 eggs, 1 tablespoon heavy cream/whole milk, salt, and pepper into the blender jar. Blend the mixture on high for about a minute or until the time it becomes very foamy. In the meanwhile, melt 1 teaspoon butter and pour the mixture into the heated pan. Now carefully push egg mixture from one side to another using a spatula until it’s set, but is still creamy as well as moist on top. Finally, sprinkle 1 tablespoon shredded cheddar cheese over half of the eggs and fold unfilled half over filling. Let cheese melt for some time and serve immediately.

4. Body Scrub

Not only can you make delightful things to eat with your blender, but you can also make a body scrub that will make you feel pleasant, too. Combine all-natural olive oil, citrus, and sea salt for a moisturising and refreshing scrub that takes less than five minutes to make. The scrub makes a great present, too!

5. Powdered Sugar

Powdered sugar comes handy when you’re preparing a dessert or mocktail at home. You can make powdered sugar by simply grinding granulated sugar in a blender until it reaches a powdery consistency. An electric blender works magically to turn your plain old sugar into fluffy, homemade powdered sugar in mere minutes.
