A clip has been going viral of Bassem Youssef, an Egyptian comedian appearing at British TV host Piers Morgan’s show called ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored’.
Youssef was on the show speaking with Morgan for a segment about the ongoing Israel-Hamas war and what steps can be taken to stop the violence from happening.
However, Youssef called out the Israeli government for carrying out killings of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip for years and even in the West Bank despite there being no Hamas there.
What Did The Comedian Say?
In the clip, he can be heard saying “We get all our news second hand because my wife’s family lives in Gaza. They have cousins and uncles there and their house also was bombed. We haven’t been able to communicate with them in the past three days. Communication has been lost so we don’t know how are they doing, but we are used to that!”
He also said “Let’s for a minute imagine a world without Hamas. What will this world look like? Let’s give this world a name and let’s name this world, the West Bank.”
He further called out conservative columnist and commentator Ben Shapiro’s statements made on Morgan’s show previously where he supported Israel and bashed Hamas.
Youssef said, “The only solution to the Israel-Gaza conflict is that Israel should annex Gaza and kill as many people so that what is happening does not happen again.”
He further added “More than 3,500 people have so far been killed. How many more people do we need to kill so that Ben Shapiro is happy?”

He called out the Israeli military saying “I applaud Israel for doing something no military force in the world does. It warns civilians before bombing them, that is so cute.”
Youssef also spoke about the alleged claims of Hamas forcing people to be used as human shields saying “I asked my wife’s family if Hamas forced them to stay home so that they could be bombed and can be used as human shields and she denied.”
When asked what he would do if he were Israel after the Hamas attack on October 7th and he said “I would kill as many people as I can because the world is letting me do it.” And further said “Hamas is the source for all evil. Let’s imagine a world without Hamas. Let’s name this world the ‘West Bank’. Thirty-seven Palestinian kids were killed – no music festival, no paragliding, no Hamas.”
Sarcastically he said “We need to change the perception. An American Presidential candidate said ‘it is the fight between the good and the evil’, so kill the evil. Maybe the solution is we kill as many Palestinians as possible, so that whatever few are left do not repeat what’s happening.”
“I want to know the logic behind Israel bombing Gaza. Basically what I understand is that Israel is doing this to pressurize Palestinians in Gaza to stand against Hamas. This is exactly what terrorist organizations do, to pressure citizens to get some of their demands accepted.”
When Morgan tried to compare Hamas with ISIS, Youssef replied with what Israel is doing saying “Terrorist organisations would have no chance beating a whole nation in battle. So, they terrorise and kill the civilians in order to spread fear and terror so (that) they (the civilians) can turn against their government to change their policy or to resign. You have just compared Israel with ISIS.”
Youssef also called out Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu saying “I am going to pretend that I am a citizen of Israel and I want to speak to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu through your show.
I want to ask Netanyahu what are you going to do after you have fractured the Israeli community and our courts, what are you doing with the money we are giving to you. You are bombing Gaza with absolutely no regard to our people held hostages there. How come is our Israeli government is trading human lives for another piece of land.”
