Sushant’s untimely demise has left the nation in shock. It has been more than 2 months since that fateful incident, but the truth has not been revealed yet. There are way too many theories as to how Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR) could have died (or been murdered).
Many big names, primarily those of Salman Khan, Sooraj Pancholi, Rhea Chakraborty, and Mahesh Bhatt keep coming up.
The involvement of the Maharashtra government is also indicated in many theories. Sushant’s fans, his family and friends have been demanding a CBI enquiry into this case.
Nepotism Debate In The Industry
Amidst this, a serious issue came to light, which had always been there but never caught enough attention. Yes, you guessed it right! We are talking about the same old Nepotism.
Actress Kangana Ranaut has been raising her voice against this for quite some time now. But more people from the film fraternity joined her after the SSR case. The trends such as #BoycottNepotism have been going viral since then.
Actors and actresses, such as Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Ranbir Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Ananya Panday were openly bashed by the public. People from all over India collectively decided to boycott their movies to promote new artists and abolish the culture of nepotism in Bollywood.
While most people were in favour of this, there were a few others with whom the trend did not go as well as one would have thought.
They were quick to criticize this movement against star kids. Hence started the trend of #StopTargettingAliaBhatt, in the support of the actress.

Singer Ahmed Meeran Condemns Alia Bhatt And The Trend Supporting Her
Popular singer and digital content creator Ahmed Meeran bashed Alia Bhatt in a self-recorded video on August 15th. He called the trend #StopTargettingAliaBhatt lame and stupid.
He strongly believed that Alia Bhatt, coming from a position of power, would never be affected by online campaigns against her anyway. She would still get to do all the big films, with the director of her choice.
She would still be the first choice for the Filmfare awards for Best Actress for a 3-4 minute appearance in an average film.
He very clearly mentioned that “she would still be having the courage to snatch the roles from all the new-comers”.

He talked about dislikes on Sadak 2’s trailer also. The video has crossed 1 crore dislikes within just 4 days. He called it one of the shittiest trailers that he has ever seen.
“I really don’t understand why actors like Jisshu Sengupta and Makarand Deshpande have agreed to do this film, or maybe out of the fear that, you know, Bhatt Saab would throw chappals on them,” he added.
Moments after the video surfaced, netizens came forward in support of his words.
How far the fight against nepotism will go is yet to be seen. Regardless, we just hope that amidst all this, we do not forget the greater purpose, i.e. the truth behind Sushant Singh Rajput’s “alleged” suicide.
