Winner in the Education and Skill Development sector under the Toys as Learning Resources category by Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 26: Startup India named Unnati Educare Private Limited (Parent company of Luma World) the winner of National Startup Awards 2021 in the Education and Skill Development Sector under the Toys as learning resource category. The Startup India awards recognize and reward outstanding startups and enablers that have demonstrated exceptional capabilities, not just in terms of financial gains but also in creating a measurable impact in society.

The Startup India initiative was launched in 2016, and the first edition of the Startup India Awards was held in 2020. The second edition of Startup India awards in 2021 saw participation from 2177 startups belonging to 49 different sectors of the economy. The startups supported and recognized by Startup India have created 5.4 lakh direct jobs so far. Various parameters like innovation, scalability, economic impact, social impact, inclusiveness diversity and environmental impact were considered for the evaluation process of the awards. The evaluation methodology consisted of 4 steps that the startup had to go through, namely initial filtering, objective evaluation, detailed evaluation and jury evaluation.
