Fake Friendly Fridays is a section where we pick a famous personality and throw fake questions at him/her and in return, we receive fake answers. Why should you not take it seriously? Because it is fake.
If you still didn’t get it: This is a fake interview written purely on the basis of the author’s imagination of how the actual interview would have been if we got the chance to interview these famous (some, for all the wrong reasons) personalities in real life. In short, just have a good laugh!
ED Times: Hello everyone, welcome to another episode of Fake Friendly Fridays with ED Times. Today we have with us the “Selfie Queen” of India, a master of making tik toks with dramatic expressions and a sensational singer, let’s give it up for Neha Kakkar!
[Neha Kakkar enters with her latest song Khad Tainu Main Dassa playing in the background]
Neha Kakkar: (giggles happily as the song ends)
ED Times: Hello Neha, we are so happy to have you here with us. So, tell us what are you up to these days and how have you been spending time during COVID-19?
Neha Kakkar: COVID-19 has been a difficult time for all of us. I have been quite busy making reels and videos on my brother Tony’s fantastic new song ‘Number Likh’ on Instagram and other apps.
Earlier I was promoting my newest song Khad Tanu Main Dassa with Rohu (her husband). And you know how much I love taking pictures of myself! So, that’s all I did!
ED Times: Okay! (smiles awkwardly) Yes, we know ‘Selfie Queen’. By the way, congrats, your new song Khad Tainu Main Dassa was a big hit!
Neha Kakkar: Thank you so much! This song is close to my heart, and I am really glad that it got a huge response from my fans!
ED Times: (sarcastically) Even your brother Tony Kakkar’s latest song ‘Number Likh’ has taken the internet by storm even after repetitive and meaningless lyrics! How do you feel about that?
Neha Kakkar: I am very happy for Tony bhai. He is really passionate about music and puts a lot of effort into making new songs! He always succeeds in lifting people’s moods and bringing a smile on their faces through his songs. He inspires me a lot, and I am proud of him!
ED Times: Ohh, that’s great! (awkward laughter) Anyway, Neha, you have tied knots with Rohanpreet recently. So, tell us about your extravagant wedding experience during the peak of COVID-19?
Neha Kakkar: (with excitement) Well, it was a great experience! Even during COVID-19, my and Rohu’s family managed to pull off a great wedding in Delhi in the presence of our near and dear ones. We sang, danced and danced together!
Our original wedding song ‘Nehu Da Vyah’ was a massive hit! People really liked us together! It was fun and the most memorable day of my life!
ED Times: That’s great! Indeed you both make a good couple! So, how has your life changed after marriage?
Neha Kakkar: (blushes) Actually, there’s no major change that has taken place in my life after marrying Rohu. My life has become happier than ever before! Rohu and his family love and support me. It is all because of the blessings of God and my Nehearts! (her fandom name) I love them so much! (happily)
ED Times: We love you too! You are also known for judging India’s famous singing reality show Indian Idol. But you were not able to continue due to COVID-19. So, ‘Judge Sahiba’ (popular name given by fans), tell us something that you miss about the show?
Neha Kakkar: It has been incredible to judge a show like Indian Idol. I miss everybody on set! I miss having fun with other judges, Vishal and Himesh ji as well as the wonderful contestants who always make me cry by telling their stories of struggles and through their singing! I become really emotional when I hear their lovely voices! They are so good! (sobs)
ED Times: Oh Okay! We also missed watching you on the show! Neha, you have a huge fan base with millions of people making videos on your songs, but there are people who call yours and your brother’s songs cringe and find you ‘over- dramatic’, and a ‘narcissist’.
You are also targeted by many meme pages on social media frequently. What do you have to say about that?
Neha Kakkar: (smirks giddily) Well, I think that with love comes hatred, and you can’t make anyone happy! Are memes to bante hi famous personalities ke hain! Tony Bhai and I don’t get bothered by all the hate comments and continue to work wholeheartedly!
ED Times: (smirks) Yes, we all can see that! Thank you so much Neha for joining us for this segment, and we wish you all the best for your future projects!
Neha Kakkar: Thank you for having me here!
