As Bihar’s School Education Board was gearing up for the statewide Class XII board exams, a major development crept in, ahead of their annual event, the board was welcomed with a leak paper of Biology being circulated in the areas of “Lakhisaray” and “Samastipur” allegedly at the paltry amount of INR100.
An SIT was recently created to investigate into the matter.
Although, Credibility of Question papers is still ambiguous, but the role of educational institutions in giving a free hand to such racketeers in Bihar is commendable.
Even I used to think, if I would have been there, maybe I would have landed at top college of Delhi University, that give weight to the demands of some politicians in Delhi to conduct entrance tests for admission in different courses of Delhi University.
But that cannot happen, because in Delhi a systematic nexus which operates in Bihar is not even originated. But in Bihar, it defines the education policies (Bit exaggerated, though but yeah… it has its clout there).
Well Oiled Nexus for students’ benefit
Students, their parents, educational institutions chief, government educational officers, ministers and politicians make a holy nexus to serve child rights of passing an exam with good marks without study.
The Most common tool used is leaking the exam to a professional racket or to make a deal with the nexus to serve Individuals’ rights.
They have a lot of achievements in Bihar. It is important to count them.
1) Bihar Staff selection Commission’s exam leak
The most recent achievement of the “nexus” is the successful leak of Bihar staff Selection Commission’s combined recruitment exam which was leaked just 5 hours before the exam, which resulted in the scrapping of this exam.
SIT arrested BSSC’s secretary Parameshwar Rao, a data entry operator at BSSC in involvement to this sacred work, both initially declined to be a party to it. Till now 30 arrests have been made by the SIT as per New Indian Express’s Feb8 report.
Meanwhile ruling party’s doppelganger, the “opposition” has demanded a CBI enquiry of this and blamed Mr. Vikas Purus, “Nitish Kumar” to ruin the education system of Bihar.
2) Became State toppers without even a glance on periodical table and “Prodical Science”, courtesy “Nexus”
Baccha rai, a popular child right activist (intended pun) strengthened the nexus by making individual deals with the Parents of Rubi rai and Saurabh Shrestha which helped them in becoming state toppers of their respective streams.
When interrogated for his contribution in making these innocent students’ career, he blurted out his links with chairman of Bihar State Education Board’s Chief Lalkeshwar Prasad and a politician.
Poor lad has got conditional bail from Patna High Court recently.
Due to this nexus’s exemplary role in transforming students’ education with such an ease, they have become successful in establishing sorry status for state’s education system. Kudos! Let see some positive impacts of it.
Mass assistance in form of cheating: – BBC reported that Bihar government spends 5.6% of its GDP which is considerably low for a state like it, so huge in geographical area. Absenteeism among teachers and lack of knowledge among them has amplified the phenomenon of student’s assistance in form of cheating.
Cheating often comes as a blessing for students from nexus or otherwise it takes the shape shown in the picture.
Zero credibility of Bihar’s educational Institutions: – The involvement of BSSC’s secretary in its combined recruitment examination leak case, involvement of Lalkeshwar Prasad (Chairman of BSEB) has clean bowled these educational institutions in terms of their credibility.
They have become a fertile ground for the operations of this well organized nexus. Officers have become executer of the nexus’s agenda.
Despite all such impacts, the nexus is working day and night to empower our children in passing exams by gradually killing their learning capabilities.
