The year 2020 has been a rollercoaster ride for all of us. Apart from the raging pandemic, the year is also considered to be a bizarre one due to the eccentricities associated with it.
Be it the trending of ‘dalgona’ or the ‘lockdown baking’, most of us have discovered something bizarre about ourselves or the world during the year 2020. “Coronavirus” is apparently the word of the year and it seems that our life is incomplete without the mention of corona in it.
Having said the same, the internet has recently discovered a writer who seems to have been so obsessed with the coronavirus that she wrote fiction about the same.
When one hears that someone wrote a book about coronavirus then one might wonder if it’s an insightful knowledge about the spread of the virus or some recent findings of the same.
While the entire world is doing everything to stay away from the virus, American writer M.J. Edwards wrote a book titled “Kissing the Coronavirus” and has left netizens bewildered and bemused.
You Heard It Right
“Kissing the Coronavirus” is a tale about how a doctor who was to find the cure for the coronavirus actually fell in love with it.
As weird as the storyline sounds, at the same time it directs the interest of the user due to an unconventional writing approach. The book is being released online and the description provided by Amazon is itself hilarious yet captivating.
Classified as virtual erotica, “Kissing the Coronavirus” is an erotic love story between a doctor and the virus. Even without having read the book, one can say that the book is a combination of comedy, drama, and romance just by reading the description of the book.
The description says that “She was supposed to cure the Coronavirus. Instead… she fell in love with it. Dr. Alexa Ashingtonford is a part of a crack team of scientists tasked with finding the cure to the devastating Coronavirus. Little did she know she would end up falling in love with it, in this steamy viral-erotica.”
To sum up the entire story, Edwards described it online saying, “Kissing the Coronavirus is a steamy tale about forbidden love and dark desires come to life.“
Indeed a weird story to have thought upon but the eccentric genre is catching the attention of the netizens and in no time the book was talked about all over the internet.

There’s A Plot Twist
M.J. Edwards who happens to be a first-time writer is already in the limelight for writing such a wacky book. Considering the coronavirus scare, one might be very much interested in reading something that talks about adoring the virus while the entire world is hating it.
Even though it’s fiction, the internet is curious to know the ending of such an erotic yet bizarre love affair. Indian author Narayani Basu also showed interest in looking forward to reading the book.
She tweeted screenshots of the book and wrote, “I am now scared beyond repair. I also want to read it. Just for science.”
However, the debut writer also gave a plot twist to her first book by being honest with her intent. After capturing the reader’s interest with such an erotic and steamy description, she concluded by mentioning the real reason behind writing such a book.
Apparently, Edwards lost her job recently and that is why she was looking for a way to pay her bills. Her concluding line says, “The book is MJ Edwards debut book, and is her attempt at trying to pay the bills following her job loss.”
Netizens were quite moved by the honest approach and were ready to buy the book both for its unconventional storyline and the benevolent cause. The 16-page book is available on Amazon at a cost of one dollar.
People all over the world are finding it hilarious and are suggesting it as a happy read. So far, it has got more than 40 five-star reviews and 15% four-star reviews. Maybe it’s time, we should grab our own piece of the share before it goes out of stock.
