CBSE 10th And 12th Schedules Out: Troubles Abound For Students

-

After much hassle and tussle and nervous waiting, it seems that CBSE has finally taken pity on the poor students and released the 10th and 12th board exam schedule.

Having gone through the same wait, I know that I speak from experience when I say that it is not easy, just sitting and waiting for the schedule to come out.

Because unlike popular belief, the schedule coming out is one of the main things that decides our study structure, how much time we devote to which subject, which ones we need to start studying up on now, and etc, all depend on the datesheet.

And the long delay in not just the datesheet, but also the push back of the examinations, brings on a lot of tension and problems for the students of CBSE.

CBSE Boards Cutting Into Preparation Time For Entrances?

One thing that is truly worrisome and tension inducing for many students is the fact that the delay of the board exams will now be cutting into the preparation time for the various entrance tests that students have to take for further studies.

Where the NEET 2017 exam will be held in May, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) that are held by Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) are going to be on 2nd April, 2017.

Now, the board exams will still be happening alongside these entrance exams, which leaves the students with very little time, to actually prepare for these intense and competitive exams, in which if they don’t score well, they might not be able to pursue their dream course.

Many students are saying that were last year they had two weeks or so before the entrance exams, this time around they are only left with about a week or so.

Which honestly saying is not that much time in reality.

As If That Wasn’t Enough, There Is Also An Aptitude Test For the JEE Exams

If you thought that the troubles for students were just limited to less preparation time then you are quite wrong my friend.

Because starting from 2017, JEE exams, held by IIT/ NITs will now be holding an Aptitude Test to filter out students and only the ones who clear this test will go on to give the main entrance exam.

Now, in retrospect the reasoning behind this decision is because it filters out the people who just mug facts and get expensive tuition in order to clear the tests, but in practical manner, it could mean an even harder time for students.

As they will now have to worry about clearing this aptitude test and whether or not even they will be able to give the JEE exams are not.

Signing off I would like to say that, it is saddening that the education system does not seem to be changing for the better in these many years and still is stuck with its same old ways.
