All of us who have crossed our childhood and are burdened with the responsibilities of “adult-hood”, once must have said, “Oh, how badly I wish to be a child again.” Isn’t it?

Well, the joy of childhood is such that even if we get to spend it for millions of years, we will always wish to go back to it.

The ease of living as a child is inexplicable. The idea of not being worried about what the future holds; how to earn, spend, and save money; what to wear and what to not; how to make friends and stay connected; how to not fall in a vicious circle of love and heartbreaks; appeases us and we yearn to go back into that phase of your lives.

Oh, and not to forget how, when we were young, we wanted to grow up fast and experience what adulthood feels like. Because as a child, when we looked at adults, the idea of freedom lured us.

Well, we don’t own Doraemon gadgets that could take us in the past. However, what we can do instead is accept adulthood, but not let it consume us fully. I am a strong believer of whatever problem that may come in my life, I will never let it “haunt” me, or believe that it is the end of my life.

Instead, what I would do is, I would put my younger self in that situation, and think of how I would have reacted if a similar situation had arisen then.

This makes me realize that no problem is bigger than me. At the same time, I continue to be happy, funny, and naughty in every possible moment of life because I know that we only live once, and if I spend this only life that I own, I would regret it the most.

So, instead, I choose to let my inner child respond because regretting ain’t that fun.
