Bhupinder Gujjar Signed by IMPACT Wrestling

April 15: Hailing from Punjab, Bhupinder Singh Gujjar is the latest Indian athlete to sign a contract with Impact Wrestling. Formerly a national level gold medal winning kickboxer, Bhupinder has his sights now set on professional wrestling and is ready to take the world by storm.

Before deciding to pursue a career in professional wrestling, Bhupinder started by being a body builder and then slowly moved to train at Great Khali’s Wrestling school. Bhupinder has credited coaches Scott D’Amore and John E Bravo for training him and getting him ready for his new role at IMPACT.

“I’ve always wanted to be a wrestler and have been focused on that dream for the last 5 years, which has finally led me to be signed by IMPACT Wrestling. Growing up in India, we did not have a lot of opportunities to get into professional wrestling and so I had to move to Canada to pursue my dream.” Said Bhupinder Gujjar.

Since debuting for IMPACT earlier this year, Bhupinder has been unstoppable having won all 4 of his matches against formidable opponents like John Skyler, Larry D and Aiden Prince.

He further added, “I’m really excited to be working with IMPACT Wrestling, I’ve always wanted to work with them. I consider this place to be my home. Moving out of India has been hard with studying, training and getting used to a new country, but this was my passion and I feel now that my hard work is finally paying off.

Bhupinder is also going to be a part of a new show by IMPACT Wrestling which is being made especially for India, called Pehlwani Patakha.

“I’m grateful to be a part of the new IMAPACT Pehlwani Patakha show. I’m super pumped and excited to co-host it. With the show being made specifically for India, there will be an India specific content for fans to enjoy. India is a huge market for Professional wrestling, there is a huge fanbase and a lot of athletes and now looking towards making it their career. I see a lot of opportunity for India and professional wrestling especially with IMPACT wrestling.”, said Bhupinder.

Fans can watch IMPACT Wrestling’s weekly show on SONY TEN 2 on Sundays and

Mondays, and the IMPACT Plus specials each month on EUROSPORT
