It’s where Indian Millennials comment on news and stories around them, an opinions place by and for really young people.
We believe in creating responsible news content and attempting to change the reading habits of young India. All our writers are certified in the digital journalism course by Reuters & Facebook Journalism Project.
ED Times is also very proud to have been selected for Google News Initiative’s first cohort of Startup Labs India.
Through its co-founder, ED Times is also a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Council on Media & Entertainment 2020-21-22, with an aim to give visibility to upcoming new-media ventures from India.
Why ED? Why Youth Blog?
Paid media, sensational press, frivolous content, non-change driven stories are flooding the internet, which satiates the need for entertainment but does not add value to the intellect.
Most of the available content today is extreme, be it sensational/clickbaity or viral or biased or too technical and serious.
This presses the need for SMART & ENGAGING content for the youth, which would help them form informed opinions on things that matter.
And this is again critical as the youth is more connected today than ever in issues that matter to them and the community at large.
ED attempts to serve this need of
intelligent content
coupled with the
millennial approach.
We strongly believe that if serious issues are presented in a witty format, then millennials can be made to change their content consumption habits to something mindful, thus making the society an informed one, beating the popular herd mentality and dangers of half knowledge and fake news.
ED’s bloggers are from the exact age group as the target audience and share similar needs, aspirations, likes, and dislikes as their readers. They are probably ideally placed to understand the generation of millennials and how best to cater to them.
Plus (since we love bragging), we have been the Official Blog Partner for successful movie productions: JugJugg Jeeyo (Dharma Prod), Kesari (Akshay Kumar, Dharma Productions), Cheat India (Emraan Hashmi, T-Series), Raazi (Alia Bhatt, Dharma Productions, Meghna Gulzar), Tumhari Sulu (T-Series, Vidya Balan), Bareilly Ki Barfi (Times Group, Rajkumar Rao), and Saif Ali Khan’s Kaalakaandi.
We are approved partners with Google News, Zee5 News, Daily Hunt news app (90 million monthly users), Jio News app and were recently nominated for India 500 Startup Awards 2020.
It got even more exciting when Sparpedia.ch thought of us as one of the Top Entertainment Blogs for 2020.
Also, ED is something you should have in your life.
Like Nutella. So yum.
