The summer transfer window of the 2017-18 season was closed on 31st August 2017 in Europe and we saw some pretty ridiculous transfers this time around.
Where clubs like Real Madrid were mostly relaxing with a complete squad and focused on only securing their future, it was clubs like Arsenal and Barcelona who needed to unleash the big bucks in the market to stay competent for the league and European competitions.
It was Barcelona and Paris St. Germain who made the biggest headlines, where the Catalans sold their marquee forward Neymar Jr. to PSG for a whopping 220 million Euros as the player activated his buy out clause. This was followed by PSG signing the young French superstar Kylian Mbappe on a season long loan from AS Monaco.
