What All Should An Emergency Bag Have In Case Of A War-Like Situation?

-

These days, we live in uncertain times, and with tensions only escalating, we must have crucial things prepared, one of which is an Emergency Bag. With the situation between India and Pakistan becoming increasingly tense, mock civil defence drills are being held across several states. This is to ensure that civilians are prepared for an emergency and know what steps to take in order to keep themselves safe.

While there is still hope that the situation can be de-escalated and peace (or at least some semblance of it) return, it is even more important to be prepared. This includes knowing first aid and having emergency bags packed and ready. With these bags, it can be easy to become flustered and overwhelmed regarding what exactly to pack, what items are essential, what should be left out, and more.

So here we take a look at what one should have in their emergency bag during such situations.

How To Prepare An Emergency Bag?

Essential Gadgets

Although it is advised to discard electronic gadgets as they might just weigh down the emergency bag, in today’s environment, some gadgets are extremely crucial.

  • Solar power banks and chargers

  • Portable water purifier

Major Pawan Kumar, Shaurya Chakra (Retd) has also suggested that “one must keep handy basic surgical tools to treat any injuries in case one doesn’t have access to a medical practitioner in situations of an emergency. Also, one must have dressing equipment available, such as band aids, to treat minor cuts.”
