Millennial and also Gen-Z children have grown up binging cartoon network shows. Most of us can recall a distant time when we could not wait to return home from school, switch on the TV, and tune into the Cartoon Network channel.
Our favorite shows equally could not wait to feed us the plotlines of their stories. Recent developments have gotten us thinking about the popular cartoon network shows that we will remember.
Initially, a wave of worry washed over people when rumors about our beloved Cartoon Network shutting down started doing the rounds in social media.
Then people were relieved partially when the truth surfaced- Cartoon Network Studios was merging with Warner Bros. Animation. Yet again it meant that Cartoon Network would lose its original charm that had enthralled us in our childhood.

The merger decision came after Warner Bros. Television Group (WBTVG) laid off 82 scripted, unscripted, and animation workers.
There were additional reports that Warner Bros. was not looking to fill up the 43 other vacant positions. So the general gloomy mood among Cartoon Network kids prevailed, even more so as Warner Bros. removed over 30 animated titles from HBO Max.
Social media was flooded with nostalgic posts with people reminiscing about their favorite shows. Twitter user @YasongotYoints tweeted, “I feel like I let Cartoon Network down by not watching them enough”.
Another user @Derp7oSoup tweeted, “I remember being 11 and wanting to go to Cal arts and wanting to work at Cartoon Networks because as a kid I thought Cartoon Network was the best and thought they would be very chill there”.
