Remember ‘Interstellar’ by Christopher Nolan? Amazing movie right! Well, imagine if along the lines of the story, by which I mean the time-travel-physics-stuff, someone made a game. Well, Developer Remedy Entertainment with publishing partner Microsoft Studios are going to release “Quantum Break”, exclusively for the Xbox One this year.

The game is set around a fictional University in the U.S. where a time-travel experiment has gone wrong causing time to ‘break down’ and grant the three main characters, the ability to manipulate time. For example, Joyce, one of the three main characters can stop time and Serene, the main antagonist of the story, can see into the future and decide which choices to make in the present.

The storyline sounds strong, the graphics are next-gen, and the character models are unbelievable. Watch the trailer to have a glimpse into the future.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

When Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception was released back in November 2011, it blew everyone’s minds. PS3 owners were never more proud of their console, Xbox owners were never more jealous, while PC gamers could just simply watch in astonishment. Developer Naughty Dog did an amazing job, with the game receiving showers of love from the gamer community and the critics, scoring a 10/10 on IGN review.

With the game trailer and in-game gameplay, the graphics were simply mind-blowing! Considering the horsepower of next-gen consoles, stunning visuals are something to be expected from every upcoming game, and Naughty Dog doesn’t disappoint.

The release date is still unannounced as of now, but the game promises to shake the gaming world again. Do make sure to check out the trailer.

Tom Clancy’s The Division is an upcoming MMO (Massively Multiplayer online) third-person shooter with action role playing elements and is currently under development by the much popular maker of PoP series, Assassins Creed, Far Cry Series, Ubisoft.

The setting for the game is set in New York and will be running on the snow drop game engine. The lighting, destruction and small details are very impressive and the physics of small objects such as a car door are amazingly accurate for a really immersive experience.

You play as a part of a group called ‘The Division’, an organization developed around an operation ‘Dark Winter’ which in reality was a simulation that took place in 2001, however this game takes that event in has built it into their universe.

The Division is set to break away from the common conception of RPGs. Instead of taking missions from one person, you have a full map of New York and a set of objective you can choose to do at any time.

Amazing Graphics, game mechanics and of course, Ubisoft, Tom Clancy’s The Division is definitely a game to look out for this year. Do watch the game trailer. *goosebumps*

The latest iteration of the flagship franchise of the Microsoft Xbox, Halo 5: Guardians is going to be released this fall. However, sad news for current 360 owners is that the game will be released exclusively for the Xbox One. For first time players, Halo is a military science fiction first-person shooter, created by game developer Bungie and now being developed by 343 Industries since 2011.

After some sweeping changes brought to Halo 4 multiplayer, which put off longtime fans of the franchise, developer 343 Industries gave Xbox Preview members a brief hands on ahead of the expanded Multiplayer Beta which ran through 29 December to 18 January, and the company did witness lots of happy faces. How the game fares, only time will tell. Do make sure to check out the game trailer.

The next iteration and trilogy concluding Batman: Arkham Knight is set to release 2nd June, 2015 by developer Rocksteady Studios for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The E3 gameplay trailer presented us with a slew of improvements in the overall combat mechanics and of course the Batmobile.

Unlike its predecessor Arkham City, which suffered in part due to large swathes of gameplay which saw the Dark Knight travelling from one side of the map to other, the grappling hook’s range has been expanded in hope to make travel easier in the map which is 5 time bigger than that of Arkham City. So is the introduction of the Batmobile which in addition to making traversing the huge map a bit less of a chore, in addition to playing an integral part of combat and puzzle solving.

The graphics are so eye-candy and the gameplay seems to have improve manifold. Make sure to check out a sneak preview of the game.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

When Tomb Raider was released back in 2013, the game did enjoy its share of media attention, since the game was a sort of a reboot to the franchise, which emphasized on the reconstructed origins of the culturally influential lead character Lara Croft. And thanks to developer Crystal Dynamics, which made the game available for all current and next-gen platforms, PC and even Mac OS, a large variety of users had the chance to experience the amazing single-player action adventure.

Among the many surprises at the E3, which included the much anticipated Uncharted 4 and Halo 5, the next iteration of the series, called – Rise of the Tomb Raider, we saw a short cinematic trailer as to what the game has to offer. The storyline isn’t the devoid of the previous game, but continues along the storyline where we’re shown a Lara that is still very much traumatized by the events on the island, attempting to deal with her trauma via methods such as therapy. The climbing mechanics also seem to be improved and tweaked for allowing more intense wall climbs and drops.

Do check out the game trailer.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was one of the most liked and definitely one of the most played RPG (Role-playing games) we witnessed in the past couple of years. Unlike other multi-player games such as the FIFA/PES or BF/COD multiplayer communities, RPG games are in a league of their own, with storylines ranging from old to ancient, tons of features to play with, and of course the stunning visuals.

The next iteration of the Witcher series, Witcher 3: Wild hunt, which is being developed by CD Projekt RED was previewed at the E3, and the game looks and runs great, and feels like the ultimate Western RPG. With combat carrying a driving tempt, awesome vocals that has a whole rhythmic manner to it, makes it look top notch.

All speculations and impressions aside, games like Witcher 3 need to be experienced first-hand. With a release date of May 19, this game is definitely something to look out for.

In conclusion, unless you are an old time user or simply a fan boy of a particular console, today’s gaming standards are witnessing the ever increasing exponential growth, and so be it the Playstation, Xbox or PC whatever game you choose, you are in for a treat.
