Simpsons has had a long history for accurately but eerily predicting future events that have eventually come true. Some of the biggest moments as predicted in The Simpsons would be the 9/11 tragedy, the presidency of Trump, video calling and even predicting the infamous Miley Cyrus riding a wrecking ball.
However, their latest prediction, the takeover of 20th Century Fox by Disney is the one that has taken everyone by interest, especially since the prediction was made all the way back in 1998.
This habit of the show that has been running since 1989 has somehow always predicted or portrayed things that eventually came true. However, certain studies have debunked anything supernatural or mysterious about it, instead attributing it to just the show being extremely close to real life and perhaps the coming ages only took inspiration from some of the gags made on the show.
But we cannot deny the fact that what The Simpsons have shown till now has mostly come true. So just like a Magic 8 ball or an astrologer, let us take a look at 5 other things that have a possibility of coming true in the future as shown on the show:
1. The Dome City:
In the Simpsons Movie, the family and the rest of the characters live in a dome city due to the excessive pollution of the environment by corrupt corporations and people.
Seeing the current situation of the environment, we might not be far from that time and if one wants to think about it, the upcoming idea of a ‘smart city’ could lead to this eventual future.
2. Referendum To Deport Illegal Immigrants:
Well… this sort of any way has come true what with the Trump Travel Ban being brought back into approved by the Supreme Court and now being in the process of being finalized into a proper law.
While the Trump Travel Ban currently just excludes the citizens of some selected countries to arrive in the US, it is really not that big of a stretch when it will include currently living citizens of the country too.

3. A Female US President:
In the episode Bart To The Future, all the way back in 2000, it showed Lisa Simpson finally getting her true place and becoming the leader of the free world, aka, the President of the United States of America in the year 2020.
Even if her win came after the fictional Trump in the show tanked the nation’s economy, the reality is really not that far off. Even the real President Trump is not really moving the country forward, instead is creating problems in practically every sector of society, be it civil (white supremacists rise), gender (sexual harassment rise), political (incompetent people in positions of power and dismantling of Net Neutrality).
So it really might not be that far off of an idea that the US will need female to clean up the mess left by the current president.
4. Holographs In Daily Life:
Now, this is one prediction that might soon be coming true and one that we cannot wait to in reality. In the 2011 episode called Holidays of Future Passed, and sees the characters using holographic projections even as a way of entertainment.
The use of holographs has already started and the day is not far when the normal people are also using it in their daily lives.
5. Flying Stephen Hawking:
In the episode They Saved Lisa’s Brain, in 1999, the show gave a small gag of Stephen Hawking creating a way to fly away in his wheelchair with a number of different ways.
This again might not be something that difficult to imagine and perhaps in just a couple more years, Hawking could actually create such a kind of wheelchair that could fly him around.
