A recent speech made by Pakistani military chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, has gone viral for a number of reasons. At a recent visit to the United States, he hosted a black-tie dinner for businessman Adnan Asad. Asad is reported to be Pakistan’s honorary consul in Tampa, Florida.
During this event, Munir, while giving a speech, touched upon various topics, including India’s decision on the Indus River, the India-Pakistan conflict, and even the recent diplomatic tensions between India and the US, particularly due to the tariff issue.
Pretty soon, multiple reports came out of some of his quotes, particularly one where he threatened that Pakistan, being a nuclear nation, would take down the world if they felt threatened.
This one quote, though, where he essentially compared India to a Mercedes or Ferrari and Pakistan to a dump truck, brought about a volley of trolling and mocking for Munir.
Many netizens also posted about how most of Munir’s statements sounded over the top and ridiculous. Here we take a look at some of them:

These comments come from Munir’s speech saw an audience of around 120 Florida-based members of the Pakistani diaspora, present during the event.
Munir was in the United States to attend the retirement ceremony of General Michael Kurilla, outgoing commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), and the Change of Command Ceremony, marking the assumption of command by Admiral Brad Cooper.
According to reports, though, the security at this event was incredibly heightened, with guests not being allowed to carry mobile phones or digital devices inside the venue. There has also been no official transcript of the speech released.
Most of these quotes have come from an exclusive report by The Print that “reconstructed the contents of the speech from the memory of several participants who were present.”
