One Vegas bettor who wants to be renamed unnamed but goes by “SBK” short for Sports Betting King got a whole lot wealthier Sunday night. Despite downing the Bucs in relatively crisp fashion in Week 1, handicappers apparently didn’t have much faith in New Orleans, pegging the Saints as road dogs for Sunday night’s rematch in Tampa.
This bettor in Sin City wasn’t buying that flawed logic, however, hammering the Saints to win outright at MGM. He went all-in with an aggressive $500,000 wager. The anonymous MGM bettor who wishes to be named “SBK” grabbed the Saints at steep +155 odds, resulting in a lavish, $775,000 windfall. When asked what made him wager half a million dollars on a huge underdog he simply answered “I just knew they would win ” when we searched the MGM Better records he’s bet more than 13 million dollars this year alone with this being his single biggest win this year.
