In the current scenario of the music industry, while on one hand, we have this crazed trend of artists glossing over money and expensive cars and such and the ignorant crowds going haywire for them, on the other hand, we have the more professional artists who actually care about the quality of their content more than they need to show off.
Cody Tyler is one such big and emerging name in the musical industry.
A 31-year-old musical prodigy hailing from Los Angeles, who in a short period of time took the musical scenario by storm with his first-ever musical single, “mine” crossing 1 million views on YouTube in a short amount of time.
Origins
Born in Florida, Cody had a passion for poetry since grade 7.
Being bullied in school, he learned early on how to stand up for himself.
He also used to play football until college when later he went to Miami to study fashion and then to the American Academy of dramatic arts. It was there that Cody battled with nervous breakdowns and depressions after he went to Florida and there due to the Baker act was admitted to a mental hospital.
It was there that he got to spend some time on his art of poetry which soon turned to songs and so he had finally found a purpose in life.
When asked about his time at the mental hospital in Florida, he says,
“While inside I had to face myself personally and after having therapy one day I was told to do something in my free time to express myself and right away I started to write poetry and to this day nothing lets me be freer.”
The beginning of his journey
Cody started out by writing poetry which gradually turned to songs. It was one of the things that helped him with his depression.
Soon he released his first serious musical single, “mine” which crossed 1 million views on youtube. It was then that he decided to take up his passion and so he went to LA.
It was then that he started to actually gain confidence in his art and so he never looked back.
Upcoming projects
Rising star Cody Tyler has finished his new short film, “know about it”, which he has been planning for a long time now.

When asked about his views on the music scenario and his message for his fans, he says,
“I just want people to know that they got somebody who cares about the personal issues they go through every day and they got a real artist who’s riding for them.”
