After years in the making, Muay Thai label YOKKAO is ready to debut at Milan Fashion Week, launching its F/W 2021 collection. YOKKAO will hit another milestone as it presents its first sportswear collection alongside some of Italy’s most talented fashion designers.
The Bangkok-based fight brand’s sportswear collection will highlight a project culminating between Italian designers, the YOKKAO Team in Thailand, and the work YOKKAO’s founder Philip Villa has had in the works for two years in Italy.
Villa said, “After working to successfully create an integrated community in the fight industry, we are prepared to expand the brand to new heights. We are using a sportswear design approach with a color and graphics twist on classics items for the apparel and accessories collection. This project will leave a positive impact by spreading Muay Thai culture worldwide.”
Since its beginning in 2010, YOKKAO has established itself as a market leader for excellence in design and marketing for fight gear and attire in the Muay Thai trade. YOKKAO blends traditional Muay Thai gear and fightwear with the latest, fashionable designs, making it stand out from the competition.
YOKKAO has a factory, gym, and fight team based in Bangkok, as well as warehouses based in the U.S., Asia, and Europe. The company also puts on popular events and worldwide seminars.
A longtime frontrunner in the Thai boxing industry in terms of fightgear designs and new concepts, YOKKAO’s F/W 2021 collection launch at the Milan Fashion week is one more part of innovative brand evolution. When Villa and YOKKAO debut the collection at Milan Fashion Week early next year, it will mark the first time a Thai boxing label will grace Milan’s famous fashion runway.
The event marks a jump ahead for YOKKAO and the Thai boxing industry, as it bridges the gap separating the remarkably different worlds of fight sports and fashion. Milan Men’s Fashion Week is scheduled from January 16, 2021 to January, 19 2021.
