While self-victimization has become a survival instinct for most, she has become the ‘face of courage’ inspiring people in leaps and bounds.
Her story inspired the Indian fashion line Viva n Diva Couture and she was chosen as the face of their clothing line.
Since the tragedy, Laxmi Saa has become one of India’s most expressive advocates against the unscrupulous sale of acid. She campaigns for stricter punishment for acid attackers and manages her non-profit organizations, Chhanv Foundation and Stop Acid Attacks, extending succour to other victims and survivors.
