We have been locked in our houses for months now, and given that, our “I will do something new” spirit has dimmed.
The boredom of our lives can be seen by looking at the topics that go viral every now and then. Hashtags like #Binod and #justiceforchutki do all the storytelling about how people are making utterly meaningless topics trend absolutely everywhere.
I understand that by this time, every movie folder has been watched twice, and we are left with little to do. But to our delight, everything can stop but not our Bollywood.
There are still great movies and series being released every now and then so we don’t cry the call of boredom.
Here I have a list of incredible shows to watch this weekend, across platforms.
Mee Raqsam
IMDb Rating- 7.1
This is a beautiful story of a Muslim girl’s aspiration to learn Bharatnatyam. The real essence of the movie is the blending of Sufi music with Bharatnatyam.
A great story that emphasizes the father-daughter duo overcoming challenges posed by religion, caste, and gender, this movie focuses on the deep-rooted issues between the two religions and presents a great plot with an impossibly good script.
It is available on Zee5.
The Gone Game
IMDb Rating- 8.8
It’s an entirely different concept of creating a series in lockdown presented by Voot. The Gone Game presents a new and interesting plot. This is the kind of show that keeps you on the edge of your seat with its suspense.

Bandish Bandits
IMDb Rating- 8.7
This is a story of youthful love between a small town classical singer and a big city girl. They both set out on a journey of self-discovery and develop respect for each other’s musical genre. This is the first series that focuses solely on music, that too Indian classical music.
This series is a refreshing change that one needs from the trend of thriller and action. The brilliant acting, incredible plot, and amazing music, what else can we ask for!
You can watch it on Prime Video.
Class Of 83
IMDb Rating- 7.7
This new Netflix cop drama is a cops and gangsters thriller with Bobby Deol in the lead. The storyline is set around the Mumbai underworld of the 1980s, and corrupt bureaucracies.
It has a strong story with top-notch execution.
Khuda Hafiz
IMDb Rating- 7.6
The story revolves around an estranged husband’s fight against a gang of flesh-traders. Bollywood has plenty of revenge and rescue movies, but what sets this apart is the realism of the story. The tight suspense is maintained from beginning to end.
It is available on Disney Hotstar.
Breathe: Into The Shadows
IMDb Rating- 7.7
Into The Shadows is the story of kidnapping, and the lengths a father can go to save his daughter. This series features amazing acting by the lead actors and a rollercoaster of thrills.
This is available at Prime Video.
