With protest strikes becoming the order of the day, the common man is on the receiving end of a host of problems.
In 2018 the Maharashtra bandh sparked by the Bhima Koregaon controversy saw Mumbaikaars reeling under a meaningless bandh. Car windshields were shattered and shopkeepers were coerced to pull down shutters.
The strikes orchestrated by a group of teachers, students or laborers are one-sidedly failing to consider the larger interest of the nation and the common good.
Forcibly pressuring the authorities may result in them giving in to the demands but they have no right to stop honest men from earning a day’s wage or income.

Since there can be no bandhs on bandhs, we can at least be responsible for reducing the losses incurred by taking conscious steps.
