How Keyen Lage Overcame A Career-Ending Injury and Became a Leading Performance Coach for High Achievers

-

Picking yourself up after a career-ending injury is one of the most challenging and daunting tasks for an athlete. Keyen Lage, a former football player, sustained an injury that effectively ended his football career. However, he managed to turn that into a positive and started on a new journey in his life.

Lage, born in 1993 in South Dakota, was destined for greatness as a football player for the Kansas City Chiefs until the doctors told him that any more football would put him at risk of paralysis. As an athlete, Lage was heartbroken – football was his life. He did not know what to do – his life-long dream had been shattered.

Stuck in his parents’ basement in South Dakota, Lage was trapped in a negative cycle for a while, not knowing how to start living again. He decided to start reading and spent a month and a half in the library. He eventually came across a book, The Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton that completely changed his life. It inspired him to look at life from a different perspective – being healthy from the inside out.

Since then, Lage has dedicated his life to helping people find joy and fulfillment in all situations. He knows the feeling of being at the top of your game but finding fulfillment in your achievements only and not in yourself as a person. “The emotional issues of high performers are very real, and I want to give a voice to them. I want to show them that their internal issues are real and, if not addressed, can lead to extreme chaos in their lives,” says Lage.

He has risen from an injury to successfully coaching over 200 people as a high-performance coach, helping them create a healthy mind and body in order to have a deeper connection with themselves and reach their full potential. As a personal trainer and a certified holistic nutritionist in addition to being a high-performance coach, Lage works on all aspects of his clients’ lives – physical, mental, and emotional.

Having worked with Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, professional athletes, and world-class fitness models, Keyen Lage’s work in helping top performers find fulfillment in their lives is impressive, considering it all started with a football injury.
